All on 4, All on 5, All on 6, All on 8
If you have multiple missing teeth, discolored or damaged teeth and may be considering dentures, we encourage you to consider a full mouth restoration using a fixed denture using an all on 4/all on 6/all on 8 procedure.
We offer a LIFETIME GUARANTEE on our top-rated dental implants.
If for any reason your titanium dental implant should fail, we’ll replace it for free…for life! Compare our guarantee to other competitors and see why Goodness Dental is the best dental team in Costa Rica and Guatemala.
Instead of dentures which must be removed for cleaning, dental implant solutions involve the insertion of implants, which will fuse with your jawbone. Then, replacement teeth are fixed to the top of the implants. The process typically requires at least two visits, but the end result is a fixed solution that looks, feels, and works just like natural teeth.
During the first visit, the maxillofacial surgeon will evaluate your mouth, take x-rays, and evaluate if you are a candidate for an all-on-four or related solution. In a few, rare cases, some remaining teeth will have to be pulled or some bone grafting will be done. In the second visit, the fixed denture will be anchored to the implants for a permanent solution. Please note that the procedure and number of visits may vary from patient to patient.
Dental Implant Solutions:
Goodness Dental offers three recommended dental implant solutions: All-on-8 and its derivative solutions: All-on-6, and All-on-4. They look similar, but there are some differences between them. At Goodness Dental, only a qualified, licensed maxillofacial surgeon places dental implants for our patients. This is why we are the only dental clinic in Costa Rica to offer a Lifetime Guarantee on Dental Implants. We’ll even put this guarantee in writing!
All-on-4
This solution is used on patients who may have less available jawbone. Four implants still provide enough stability and strength to support a fixed dental bridge for a lifetime. While the fixed denture or bridge might be slightly shorter, it does not reduce quality or reliability. Today, the all on 4 is the most recommended dental implant solution for international patients coming to Costa Rica.
All-on-6
This solution uses six dental implants. It is used on patients that don’t have perfect jawbones, but with sufficient bone to support six implants. It also shares a characteristic with the All-on-8 solution: a bridge in the form of an arch that is used to support the artificial teeth.
All-on-8
This solution uses eight dental implants and it’s by far the most stable option. Because it involves the greatest number of dental implants, it has the strongest grip on the jaw. This solution requires that the jaw has enough bone to sustain eight implants. Many patients that suffer from trauma may not have enough bone for eight implants.

Should I get dental implants?
1. Available Jawbone Space:
Regardless if you are getting implants in the upper or lower jaw, there are vital structures that must be protected such as the maxillary sinus in the upper jaw and the inferior alveolar nerve in the lower jaw. This is why there has to be sufficient bone height to place the implant. This is why it is critical to have your implants placed by a maxillofacial surgeon.
2. Smoking:
If you are a smoker, you might want to consider quitting for a while. Smoking adversely affects the healing process of the bone and tissue. Please discuss this with your dentist if you plan to get dental implants.
3. Location:
Not all locations in the jawbone are suitable for implants. There could be irregularities of the bone and other structures keeping your from being a good candidate. Also, different locations have different success rates. This is another critical factor that requires the expertise of a maxillofacial surgeon.
4. Health of your gums and bone.
Gingivitis and periodontitis are important considerations for dental implants. Gingivitis is when dental hygiene must be improved because gums appear red, swollen and bleed easily. Periodontitis is when the bone is affected as well and there is some level of bone loss. These conditions could compromise the success of the treatment.
